About Me
Hello, I’m Kris. I have lived experience with mental health, which helps me connect with others in an open, understanding, and compassionate way. I’ve worked with people from many different industries and backgrounds, giving me insight into the unique challenges life can bring. I offer a safe, supportive space for adults aged 18 and over, where kindness, empathy, and real understanding are at the heart of every session. I’m currently taking a social media detox, reconnecting with real-life moments and the everyday benefits of slowing down being present, and finding balance.
I primarily work from a person-centred approach, which means that you are at the centre of our work together. Rather than directing or advising, I aim to walk alongside you, listening deeply, empathising fully, and helping you uncover your own inner resources and clarity.
I see counselling as a collaborative process where we work together to make sense of your experiences and create meaningful change.
I work organically, responding to your unique needs and the natural flow of our sessions. I believe no two people are the same, and neither are their journeys. Sometimes our work may focus on understanding emotions or past experiences; at other times, it may be about navigating current challenges or exploring future possibilities. Whatever arises, I strive to meet you where you are, offering presence, warmth, and genuine curiosity.
Life can bring times of uncertainty, loss, and transition that leave us feeling stuck or disconnected from ourselves. Together, we can explore what’s happening for you, helping you build awareness, develop self-compassion, and find new perspectives on the difficulties you face. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, low self-esteem, or a general sense that something doesn’t feel right, counselling can be a valuable step toward understanding and growth.
My aim is not to “fix” you - because I don’t believe you are broken - but to help you reconnect with your own wisdom and capacity for change. Through the therapeutic relationship, I hope to create a space where you can feel truly heard, valued, and empowered to explore who you are and what you need.
If you’re considering counselling, I understand that reaching out can feel like a big step. I offer an initial conversation so you can get a sense of how I work and whether it feels right for you.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I look forward to the possibility of walking alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges and move toward greater self-understanding and well-being.
